Connor Hurley is a Director in Fideres’ Securities Litigation practice. He specializes in the application of rigorous economic and statistical analysis to complex financial matters, with particular expertise in cases involving accounting fraud and market manipulation.
Before joining Fideres in 2025, he spent over a decade as a Financial Economist at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). At the SEC, he provided analysis for over a hundred enforcement cases spanning topics such as insider trading, cherry picking, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, accounting fraud, investor harm, and others. He utilized a variety of sophisticated statistical analyses to quantify the economic impact of market events and inform regulatory enforcement actions.
Connor has provided expert testimony in deposition, authored expert reports, and has served as a summary witness. Furthermore, Connor has extensive experience supporting colleagues in all stages of the litigation process including writing expert reports and preparing for testimony in civil and criminal matters brought by the SEC and the U.S. Department of Justice.
Connor holds a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Chicago.
