PEDRO POSADA

Dr. Posada is an expert on the economic analysis of antitrust and competition policy, damage estimation, intellectual property and international arbitration. He holds a PhD in economics and has a postgraduate diploma in EU competition law, both from the UK.

Over more than 16 years, he has advised several sectors and industries throughout Spain and Europe. He headed for almost 10 years NERA’s Antitrust and Competition Policy Practice in Spain. Prior to that, he worked in CRA’s European Competition Practice in London, where he conducted applied micro-economic analysis, mainly within the areas of competition and international arbitration.

Likewise, Pedro has provided expert witness testimony before different instances, such as the Spanish National and the Supreme Courts and various local commercial courts in Spain.

He previously worked for the gas and electricity markets regulator in the UK and held a position in the Council for Science and Technology in Mexico.

Pedro has authored several publications, has attended various conferences and seminars on competition policy, and has experience as a physicist researching in the areas of applied mathematics and astrophysics.
